Book Corner
Brand Identity
The Book Corner is a second-hand bookstore in Philadelphia. It sells donated books at affordable prices, which makes them more accessible to the public. My goal was to build a unique and consistent design language that highlighted their values as an organization. The design elements center around cats and books, which is what makes the Book Corner unique.
The design process began with creating the logo. I hand-carved linocut prints and edited the results in Photoshop. By doing this, the logo reflected the second-hand nature of the bookstore and emulated the traditional process of printmaking.
